Cat Halloran

Catherine Halloran has always been excited about hair. Even as a young girl, she couldn’t wait to be old enough to style her own hair. She later studied Cosmetology in High School, being inspired by fashion. After graduation, She went off to college to study Art and majored in Graphic Design. “This was a great learning experience for me, gaining knowledge of the fundamentals in color theory, design, & composition. Fine-tuning my eye for detail.”

This experience helped her learn that while she was passionate about art, she was not passionate about being behind a computer all day. She came back to the hair industry and got her license in 2008 and worked under Thomas Songin & Tom Gardner for her advanced training in SF. After working for 7 years in North Beach, SF. She moved to Smoke & Mirrors salon in Union Square for 6 years before launching her own business.

As an entrepreneur, she feels like she is exactly where she belongs and is truly passionate about her job. Every day is a fun day at work!! Her goal is to find each client a style they feel beautiful and amazing in, while maintaining functionality. She also cares about the health of your hair and scalp. As an artist, she also enjoys doing creative work with lots of colors. So let’s play!!

Catherine is an expert at constructing interesting updos, working with color, and also cutting and styling men’s hair. Having trained at Zenzi’s Beauty Academy in San Francisco, she is highly skilled at performing keratin treatments, and she specializes in modernizing classic, retro looks.

Thomas Klann

Originally from Minnesota, Thomas has been a hairstylist since graduating from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 1999 and has been styling hair in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000. With over two decades of experience, he combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for helping clients look and feel their best. In 2011, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Holistic Health from San Francisco State University, further deepening his understanding of wellness and shaping his holistic approach to client care. Throughout his career, Thomas has been dedicated to providing personalized, one-on-one attention, ensuring every client feels heard, cared for, and valued. He specializes in all types of haircuts—including barber cuts—natural coloring, classic foil highlights, blonding and grey blending, styling, and extensions. His work combines technical artistry with a warm, attentive touch. He also takes pride in maintaining a clean, calming space where clients can unwind and leave feeling renewed. Whether crafting a transformative new look or maintaining a signature style, Thomas strives to make every appointment not just a service, but an engaging and uplifting experience.
